"Honoring Those Who Serve"
Spokane 1st Baptist Church
September 14, 2024
The Spokane 1st Baptist Church will be hosting their 21st annual "Honoring Those Who Serve" celebration on Saturday, September 14th with a free community meal, children's entertainment and a Patriotic and Gospel Honor Program. Children's entertainment begins at 4:00 PM. Beginning at 5:00 PM will be a free pulled pork and beef Bar-Be-Que and fish-fry dinner with all the trimmings, and the Honor Program will begin at 6:15 PM.
The Honor Program will begin with Patriotic singing and the honoring of all those who have served or are presently serving. This will be followed by Gospel music singing.
The purpose for this celebration is so that our Congregation can recognize all those who have served or who are serving in all the branches of the armed services, in law enforcement, in emergency response and in fire fighting services. There will be a special time during the music service set aside to truly show our gratitude for these individuals who have sacrificed so much for our country and community. This concept arose in response to the terrorist event of 9/11/01.
There is no cost for this event, so everybody come and bring a friend to honor these special people.
